Capsule Geology

The Mack area is underlain by Lower Jurassic andesitic rocks of the Hazelton Group.

Veins exist as simple, quartz fracture fillings up to 10 centimetres wide with minor pyrite (up to 4 percent) in millimetre-scale stringers and/or clots. Galena is present in isolated blebs or associated with the pyrite.

Values of 1.63, 2.26 and 3.21 grams per tonne gold have been obtained from narrow quartz veins in outcrop; silver and copper values range widely in these samples to a maximum of 100 grams per tonne silver and 0.88 per cent copper respectively (Assessment Report 20676). Zinc values are sporadically elevated with one sample yielding 0.45 per cent zinc in apparent association with higher silver and copper values (Assessment Report 20676).

Work History

In 1990, owner E. Horne collected 43 rock and 9 silt on the Mack claims.

In 2006 and 2007, Hathor Exploration Ltd. completed a 7228.7 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey on the area as the Burrard claims of the Iskut project. In 2008, Max Minerals Ltd. examined the property.
